Calculating fuel surcharge in Finland
The fuel surcharge for both domestic and international transport is updated monthly. The surcharge is the percentage of freight costs (excluding additional services) and is tied to the previous month's diesel consumer price index maintained by Statistics Finland. The fuel surcharge can not be negative.
NB! For transparency in pricing, we are adjusting the fuel surcharge calculation. The fuel surcharge for September 2018 (12.2 %) is included in your transport fees, and the new starting level for this surcharge is linked to the same time period. At the same time, the index used for fuel calculations has been changed from the Finnish Petroleum and Biofuels Association to the diesel consumer price index maintained by Statistics Finland.

Calculating sulphur surcharge:
The sulphur surcharge is calculated as a percentage of the freight cost. The size of the charge will adhere to the additional fees charged by shipping companies due to the EU Sulphur Directive. Sulphur surcharge is valid until further notice.
